I was born in the year of the dragon (according to my chinese friends it is a very lucky thing:) but 2009 is the year of the ox. I'm renaming it the year of the adoption roller-coaster. Sometimes i feel excited, sometimes scared, but mostly like i want to puke with not knowing what to expect, and when to expect it. The wait for referral has officially increased to 9-11 months for baby and toddler girls(from DTE-our paperwork left for ethiopia on 5-9-08). So, in a sign of solidarity (and my unofficial New Years Resolution) I will not shave my legs until Karen Bowman (DTE Feb 1) gets her referral!!! (Lucky Dean)
Jaime, your post made us all LOL!!! The pic is perfect...hit all our adoption feelings on the nail! Hilarious!! Can't wait to meet you soon & cheer you on, 2009!!! We are so thrilled to continue to hold your hands (do I have to ride that roller coaster...I puke so easily:)

Jaime - This is SOOO funny!! The look on their faces just captures it perfectely! I said to Kevin the other night that I want off this ride. The ups and downs are too much. LOL! Can't wait to see what 2009 brings for your family.

ReplyDeleteCute Post!!! I completely know what you are feeling!! we were on that ride for 3 adoptions and want to go on the ride again soon!! People say we are crazy, but the ride is well worth it when you get to hold your sweet child in your arms! keep holding on!! Not sure about the shaving your legs part, but hey whatever works!!!
